The rational supernaturalism spread in the base of the Corans’ ideology became the foundation of accomplishing a balanced civilization without excluding science, for the people of Cora were fascinated by the spiritual power. These spiritual powers, supernatural power that they developed were products of scientific analysis, development, and training by the pan Earth Union researchers. This helped them understand the power of the spirit by scientific thinking. The Corans interpreted numbers as a mystery, due to the influence of rational supernaturalism in their ideology. They believed there was a secret that would solve all the mysteries of the spirit, nature, outer space, and the ego within numbers. They thought a combination of numbers had special powers.
The number they considered the most important was 10, which was called as Dicem in their ancient language. Corans thought 10 was a complete number. ‘10’ was the beginning and the end, representing creation and destruction. Moreover, their mysterious interpretations of numbers made the people worship numbers as a religious subject. Eventually, the Corans’ religion Dicem had a doctrine to understand the mysteries within numbers, discover one’s ego, and become reborn as a person with a superego.
The people believed one who obtains the hidden powers of numbers would be able to earn the secret of the universe, self-reflection on one’s ego, and the power of nature. Dicem affected the Corans’ ordinary life, social policies, and even political activities. The people of Cora did not know what happened when religion has priority over all values, several thousands of years ago when humans still lived on the planet Earth.
It is said that history is repeated. The people of Cora were following the faults their ancestors made. To Corans whose life and religion was as one, heresy, having no religion, and pagans were unforgivable. The reason why Corans hated and disgusted the people of Accretia who mechanized their body parts, was because of their completely opposite ideology. Meanwhile, the behavior and acts of Corans were absolutely incomprehensible to the Accretians. To them, the spirit was only a phenomenon from electrical actions in the brain. Also, they thought numbers were only a device and could not be a purpose. Blindly accepting numbers as an unscientific phenomenon and beings instead of considering them as a physical action of the brain, method for advancement and learning seemed foolish. The most important value to Corans was delivering the will of Dicem, their god of creation and destruction, throughout the world and the whole universe. They thought everything that interfered with this project must be eliminated. The people of Accretia could not forgive these uncivilized, foolish Corans who possessed many planets and satellites, wasting away the precious resources. Resources were necessary for the Accretian civilization. Limited resources must be distributed to those who needed them. Accretians thought there was not any resource for the Corans to possess. Also, they could not be tolerant of the people of Cora wasting Holimental, a substance with great powers, by unscientific acts like spiritual consensus.
The Corans considred Holimental which enabled spiritual consensus as the most essential device for delivering Dicem’s will. The conflicts between the two civilizations for Holimental eventually led to war. The people of Bellato tried to gain benefits from the war between the other two civilizations. The absolute dynasty of planet Bellato sent their civilians as mercenary soldiers. Sometimes they fought on the Corans’ side, and sometimes on the Accretians’ side. The absolute dynasty made a fortune from these soldiers and consolidated their authorities and terrorism with money. However, the dynasty’s reign slowly fell by those mercenary and returned soldiers who gave them wealth and power. The mercenary soldiers of Bellato were shocked at the policies of Cora and Accretia that had completely different political systems. They felt rage toward the absolute dynasty who enjoyed the wealth and prosperity with their lives as security. This led to a revolution.
The absolute dynasty of Bellato fell from the revolution started by returned soldiers, and a new system was established on the planet. The revolutionists constructed a republic with a federal system and then joined the competition for Holimental, leaving their policy of peaceful coexistence behind. They also realized the importance of Holimental from the war.
Finally the war was changed into a triangular contest of Cora, Bellato, and Accretia. The NOVUS sector was covered in chaos. However, they did not know about the Herodians who were watching them from the darkness outside the sector.
