Warriors enjoy melee battles based on their robust physique. Consequently, they prefer melee weapons and shields with higher armor. Also, they have a high ability, which is critical in melee battles, and can use all melee skills. |

|
Rangers have mastered long range weapons and like to take advantage of their enemies using their quickness. They prefer lighter shields that support their mobility and they can use all long range skills and other ammunitions. |

All races, except for the empire (Accretia), which has mechanic bodies and materialistic ideals, have the potential to use forces. However, spiritualists have forces stronger than those of these commoners and are acknowledged as an expert class for being able to handle force weapons such as staves and shields. |

This non-battle class features production and miscellanies. Its sub-classes are consisted of specialized classes for maneuvering unique plays of their own similar to Bellato’s “armor rider” and Accretia’s “battle leader”. |

Contemporary games have allowed certain classes to use only items specific to themselves and not interchangeably. However, RF Online breaks such trend of a unified class system and supports dual classes in which a character can have two or more classes and switch back and forth.
For example, a character of the warrior class may expand its plays to the ranger class, the magical class, and other various classes. This allows much more variable abilities and action in battles including hunting, PvP, and RvR to further enhance the thrill of the game. The biggest advantage of the dual system is that it provides an environment for a richer game because it induces a variety of character development and play styles from a single character.
