Pit Boss |
Boss monsters in RF Online are called pit bosses. These are tough monsters a player is bound to confront after a certain amount of hunting. For example, a pit boss may appear in an everyday hunting course of a 10~20 level player in order to protect its own terrain. Thus, pit bosses may be interpreted as the head of groups of monsters who protect the region for them. |

| Monsters’ hostility points increase when they are exposed to threats or dangerous behavior. Once their hostility point increases, they will strike a player first or act in a similar behavior. |
|
| 1. |
When attacked by player |
| |
When multiple players attack a monster, it will attack the player who dealt the most damage. |
|
|
| 2. |
When de-buffed by player |
| |
On top of direct attacks, de-buffs of the curse class will also induce a monster to attack the player who casted it. |

| You can earn experience points from hunting monsters in two ways. One, you can hunt a monster and earn experience points directly proportional to the damage you dealt and two, you can earn experience points from taking down a monster completely. Thus, you gain experience for every damage point and additional experience for finishing. |
